In the summer of 2010, 18 hotels and restaurants of different sizes and operating structures joined forces with the Swabian Alb Biosphere Reserve to ensure continuous development in terms of quality, service, environmental protection and nature conservation.

As officially recognized partners of the Swabian Alb Biosphere Reserve, we are committed to ensuring the high quality of our products and services. We feel a special connection to the landscape, environment and nature of the Swabian Alb Biosphere Reserve. We help to ensure that the natural wealth is preserved for us and our descendants.

The goals of our partnership with the biosphere reserve are

  • better information for guests
  • closer cooperation between the protected area administration and partner companies
  • the establishment of a network with other partners from the region
  • sustainable regional development


Partner initiatives represent close, trusting cooperation between the administration of a protected area (national park, biosphere reserve or nature park) and regionally based companies and associations.
